PayWhatUCan will encourage Dearborn businesses to join the Network.

In June, we'll be running a new promotion: PayWhatUCan.

In keeping with the economic times we live in, and our goal of making NetworkDearborn.com the first place residents stop online to find what they are looking for close to home, PayWhatUCan will allow any business in Dearborn to sign up and choose their own listing fee!

The standard rate for having a business listing on NetworkDearborn.com is a modest $49 a year, but for new businesses signing up in June, that will go away.

Of course, larger businesses can choose to pay the full fee if they want to help us meet overhead and costs associated with serving the thousands of local visitors who hit ND every month to find the services and products they need.

What you can do: Spread the word about PayWhatUCan via email, Facebook and word of mouth. We want to sign up dozens of Dearborn businesses who were either short on marketing/advertising funds or waiting for a good reason to join. The time is now!

Connect Dearborn people with your business message in a way you haven't been able to with print ads and traditional advertising. Our fun features, social media outlets and unique format make Network Dearborn the best way to attract new business from Dearborn residents!

Sign up here
starting June 1st to take advantage of this one-time chance to PayWhatUCan!

Great idea! Go Netty.

This isn't groundbreaking. People have been begging for money for years. "Please sir, can you spare a buck? How about a quarter? A nickel? I'll take whatever you want to give me!"

Seriously, you either have a product that people want to buy, or you dont . Telling people they can pay whatever they want for your product is just sad, and a crappy way to treat the businesses that have already paid full value for an ad.

Reason, sorry you feel that way! Obviously I have been in this from the beginning not to make lots of money, but to provide an inexpensive outlet for Dearborn businesses to advertise to local customers. I have heard from several small biz owners who appreciate that chance and will be taking me up on it. Feel free to send me an email directly with your good suggestions and how you have personally stepped up and supported Dearborn businesses with your time and energy.

Whoa Craig, it's OK man!!! I try to take criticism good and bad. Thanks for the nice comments, a few businesses have already signed up and were thankful for the price break in this rough economy - they mentioned it specifically! That's nice to hear.
